WastaLB ("we", "us") is a job platform for Lebanon. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We keep it short and honest.
What we collect
- Account info you provide: name, email and/or phone, password (stored encrypted), and — for job seekers — your profile, skills, experience, education, CV, and optional LinkedIn link.
- Employer/company info you provide when posting jobs, including your WhatsApp number.
- Usage analytics: pages visited, approximate location (derived from your IP), device, browser, and referrer. If you allow location access, we detect your governorate to show nearby jobs — this stays on your device unless you act on it.
- Cookies: a login session cookie and an anonymous visitor ID. No third-party ad tracking.
How we use it
- To run the platform: sign-in, posting and finding jobs, and connecting seekers with employers.
- To let verified recruiters (Premium) discover candidates who have opted in to be discoverable.
- To send notifications you opt into (e.g., new-job alerts).
- To understand traffic and improve the service.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. Your public profile (if you enable "visible to recruiters") and any job you apply to are shared with the relevant employer. Some job listings are aggregated from public sources and link back to the original.
Your choices
- Turn off "visible to recruiters" in your profile at any time.
- Deny or revoke notification and location permissions in your browser.
- Ask us to delete your account and data (see contact below).
Retention & security
We keep data while your account is active. Passwords are hashed; the site runs over HTTPS. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures.
